Forge Night: A Self-Defense Seminar Every Man Should Attend
What does it mean to be a man today?
It means leading. Protecting. Standing firm. And knowing when and how to defend yourself and those you love.

That’s why Forge Night is back—and this time, we’re learning real-world self-defense from the pros.
📅 Wednesday, June 18
🕕 6:00–7:30 PM
📍 Miller’s Kenpo Karate Dojo – 443 East Main Street, Bradford PA
💵 Suggested Donation: $10
👥 Open to all men and teen boys
Hosted by Tribe of Lions, a Bradford-based microchurch for men, and powered by Manlihood, this Forge Night is a hands-on seminar where guys will learn foundational techniques to defend themselves. Whether you’re a beginner or seasoned, you’ll walk away more prepared—and more connected.
You’ll learn:
- How to assess danger and stay aware
- Basic blocking and striking techniques
- How to handle confrontation with wisdom and strength
The session is taught by Mike Miller, owner and instructor at Miller’s Kenpo Karate. Mike brings years of martial arts and street-level training experience and knows how to train men to respond—not react.
“This isn’t a tough-guy contest,” says Josh Hatcher, founder of Manlihood. “It’s about equipping men with tools to be protectors. And more importantly, it’s about doing it together—in brotherhood.”
Forge Nights are built around a simple idea: Men grow when they learn, serve, and connect shoulder-to-shoulder. Whether it’s changing oil, throwing a steak on the grill, or throwing a punch in self-defense—we’re here to help each other grow stronger in every way.
